  1. There was a well in the parish of Killinkere, in the townland of Corratirure on a field of Peter McCabe's. This well was know as St. Ultan's well but there is no water in it now. It is said that a woman washed clothes in the well and it went dry. There never came a drop of water in it since.
    The Rev. Father Small when he was a curate in Killinkere used to have a procession to the well each year. St. Ultan only travelled through Killinkere. This is the only well I know of in the parish.
