    With open arms flew their fair sex, to these Independent men

    The battle raged and all engaged now working to a man
    The better team now loud did scream.
    No longer they did stand
    But to aid them too now "boaris" blue
    But it matters not a pin
    The ball did sound up from the ground by these Indepenedent men.

    Mild and discreet they went to meet, these conquering Mac Finns.
    Who thought no team could try their stream
    Decided their bold keen, their upper steard with their long beard.
    While they were made spin
    Like wings on high they were made fly
    By these Independent men

    They lost all control when through the goal
    The ball went rapidily
    Their awkward ways it did displease, the county referee
    "Said be blue boys now stop your noise, and settle down your steam.
