- In June this year whilst bathing in Drumkiery lake near Bailieborough, Rev Mr. Graham a young clergyman of Corglass was drowned.
In October 1921 Mr. Thomas Clarke of Farthadreen a farmer was found drowned in a lake near the border of his farm, it was very sad as he had a young family and the cause of death was suicide.
About 50 years ago a son of Thomas Butler of Ardlow, was accidently drowned while fishing at Quilcia lake, he was about 15 years old.
The terrible drowning tragedy at Lough Sillan when 40 school children were drowned is still remembered, it(continues on next page)
