- One time an Irish man and a Dutch man met when going to a poultry farm to buy a cockral each. When they came to the poultry farm, the cockrals were all sold but one. So the farm owner suggested that each of them would catch a leg in his mouth, and which ever of them would pull the chicken from the other would have it, so they agreed.
The Irish man said "Are you ready?" The Dutch man said "Aye", and when the Dutch man opened his mouth to say "Aye", the Irishman succeeded in pulling the chicken. - Patrick O'Brien from Bailieborough got his fare paid to Glasgow; after a day there he was told to go to Dundee, and was directed to the railway station, before him at the "Ticket office" a lady(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
