And once within the stately roof.
My heart will cease to grieve.
    IV
O Greaghlough lovely Greaghlough my heart is with thee still,
I love the hill and valley,
    The lake and footstick rill.
With you I spent my boyhood days
When I was young and free,
Those were the best and happiest days, that ever I will see.
    V
I know I was born in Donegal on the banks of brookless sea.
And next to you sweet Greaghlough,
It is as dear to me.
    Farewell to kin and kith
And also farewell to you Greaghlough
And to you dear Thomas Smith.
