On this page

  1. Oatmeal bread, potato bread and boxy bread were made in this district. People made as much bread in one day as would do them for a week or two. They mixed it with water & put a deep stroke across the top like an X. They made it in a basin. People made griddle bread also. Sometimes for a Feast they made a special cake with eggs & sugar in it.
