- St Laurance is the patron saint of this district. This saint had one church in this place. It is the church of Four-Mile-Water.This saint died as a martyr, he was buried.Four-Mile-Water is dedicated to St. Laurance. There is a holy well in Bawnfaun connected with the saint, it is called "Tubar na Naom ??There are many children in this district called after St. Laurance. The Saint's day is not a big day in the place.
