  2. There is the ruin of an old castle ain Cloughclooney. The castle it situated about three miles from the halfway-house. It is in the village of Cloughclooney, facing south, quite close to a bye road. A family of the Prendergasts lived in it. It is there two or three hundred years. When the family left, it went to rack and farmers removed stones from it.
