    There are iron hoops round the churn to bind it
    The churn dash has a flat part called the head and there is a long handle in it. There is a hole in the lid of the churn for the handle of the churn dash, the clobin covers the hole on the lid of the churn and prevents the milk from coming out.
    Butter is made once a week in Winter and twice a week in Summer. The farmer's wife does the churning and if the farmer is not busy
