    Long ago seven or eight bands paraded the streets of Swinford but nowadays only one or two bands comes to the local towns because all the young boys and girls have gone to England America and Scotland to earn a living
    When we are going to school and in the school yard we can see that beautiful mountain where St Patrick prayed and fasted forty days and forty nights for the people of Ireland to keep the True Faith.
