  1. The old houses are not as numerous nowadays as they were long ago, as new houses have replaced them and the old ones are gradually decaying.
    Long ago the houses were very small. Some of the houses were thatched and others had scraw roofs. Glass was used in the windows and sometimes wood was used instead of glass.
