    Farmers do not like to hear the cuckoo early, because it is an old saying "If the cuckoo comes early sell your cow and buy corn."
    There is also a little rhyme about the cuckoo:-
    "The cuckoo comes in April,
    She sings her song in May,
    In the middle of June she changes her tune,
    And then she flies away,"
