  1. There is not in all Kerry a parish like mine
Where lovely green nature decks out in her prime
Where teh sun lights the valley, & the moon lights the bay
And makes the year round a perpetual day.
    II
Fond lakes of Clanlawrence I have strayed round your shores
The banks of your rivers I oft have walked oer,
The sea-beach I've wandered full many a time
Oh! see what a fairy-land is this parish of mine.
    III
Fond lakes of Clanlawrence how gorgeous you rise
With your hills & peak summits from Hungry to Gadhail
Like sisters playing high-gates[?] you chain[?] and go round
You shelter my cottage & smile on me down.
