  1. Long ago when people went to fairs they took a big black sticks with them. When an argument arose between two parties over the price of the cattle. It often lead to a faction fight in which the backers of both parties were engaged. These faction were most common when the split arose between the Mc Carthyies and the Parnell-iles.
