    It is said that there is the fell of a shoe of gold hidden between Killanena bhurch and the village in the glen.
    It is supposed that a very rich man lived in this district. Long ago when the Danes were plundering all over Ireland the man knew that he would be killed, so in order to spite his enemies he came and hid the gold in a shoe by night.
