Folklore .
Peddlars in olden times were something like poor beggars to day.
They used to go about the county gathering old rags woolens, horse hair ,or broken wool.
In return they pins,needles, hair-pins and such like or Sugar stick and candies to children to encourage them to collect the old rags for them.
The better class of them used to have a horse and cart to convey their gatherings(continues on next page)- Collector
