Folklore.
The favourite pastime of long ago were hurling and tug-o-war for the grown up boys and also throwing and pitching money and buttons.
The boys and girls gong to school used to play jackstones spinning tops and pitching buttons.Hurling and tug- o- war were played in oldent times and the same as they are played today,but hurleys in recent times are called camans.(continues on next page)- Collector
