    It was fairly late in the night when he was returning and when he came near the bridge he saw something dressed in white.
    The man told my father's grandfather that he took off his coat to fight the ghost, but at that moment the ghost disappeared and the man returned home trembling with delight, to tell the great action he had done. A short time after this happening the man got ill, and the doctor told him not to ramble anymore.
    Henceforth that spot was noted as being unlucky.
