  1. Long ago the people were better skilled in things than at presents.
    A woman named Mrs Bolger Goodwinsgarden used to make candles. She used to get a goat killed and get the tallow from her. She used to put the tallow into a saucepan or a mould and melt it. That done she used to get a a piece of twine and put it in the tallow until it would thicken and she used to have good candles.
    A man named John Ryan of Ballintee, makes different kinds of baskets such as potato baskets and shopping baskets.
