    In the long warm sultry days of Summer, all boys go barefooted to school. The girls wear light shoes called sandals.
    People not wearing boots or shoes regarded it as being very healthful for their feet.
    There is a man named Michael Mullaly living adjacent to Dunnamaggin who employed in making and repairing boots.
    His son is able to do the same work, and his brother was another shoemaker who lived near the Chapel.
