    was in Knocktopher, a crowd of men were throwing a half-hundred weight in a back-yard of one of the shops.
    John Murphy was in the shop and the proprietor asked him if he was going to have a throw at the weight. He said he would do something, and he went into the yard. There was a horse's cart there, and he put it up on his shoulder and brought it out on the street.
