   Another night he was out in his carriage + he heard three screeches. He looked out + said "who is that?" The voice said "I am a poor fellow that there was three prayers to be said for + they were not said yet." The doctor went down on his knees without thinking + said them. No sooner had he them said than the death walked into him + he was no more + when the people heard it they were very sorry after him.

   One time a man and his wife and their son lived together. When the son was about ten or eleven years old his mother died. About a year after her death his father got married again to another woman and this woman did not like the boy at all and the boy hated the step-mother too. One time they killed a black sheep and the stepmother used not give the boy any bit of her
