- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)(Drawing)Notes ont he Protestant Church.It was built somewhere around 1840.A grand-uncle of mine worked as a stone mason on this building. The highest wage paid to skilled stone-masons at the time was 20/- per week. My grand-uncle being an exceptionally skilled craftsman earned 25/- a week on this building. He was the only man who earned that sum.In 1870 when news had arrived in the locality of Napoleon's surrender to Prince Bismarck the bell on this church was rung in honour of the victory. Peter McEneany of Taplagh who died in 1924 informed me of this event.Since 1922 there has been no rector attached to(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
