- I heard a man saying that there was a Leprechaun used to live in Tubberslane. It is about 1 1/2 miles from Carrigans.
He was a big strong fellow and he was a tailor and some times he mended boots. He was a very good tailor and he is a very good mender of boots. Sometimes he makes shoes and boots. He gets good trade for the people all get shoes mended with him.
Long ago there lived a man named John Burke he lived near Tubberslane. He heard that the Leprechaun had crocks of gold hid. He decided to go in search of the crock of gold. One night when it was dark he set out with some other men. They took a lantern with them and each of them took a spade.
