There is a sort of a small plantation above Churchtown. In it there is a well. The people of that place use the water. It is said that in olden times people believed that the water cured certain diseases.
There is another well up in Kinnycally. Its waters are always cool even on the hottest day in summer. People go there in summer and drink the water. There is a well up in Castlethirds whose waters are the same as those of the well in Kinnycally. It is surrounded by stone flags and there is a large flag over it also. it is always kept very clean by the people who live near it.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
