The feast of St. Michael is kept on the twenty ninth of September. It is called Michaelmas Day and people kill fowl on that day in honour of St. Michael. All Saint's Day is held on the first of November. It is kept in honour of the Saints that have no fixed feast day during the year. On the eight on December we celebrate the feast of the Immaculate Conception. On that day our Blessed Lady was conceived free from original sin. Nearly all the boys of this place go around to the houses with the wren on Saint Stephen's Day. When they come to a house they say, "The wren, the wren the king of the birds On St. Stephen's Day he was caught in the [?] Although he is small his family is great Put your hand in your pocket and give us a treat So up with the kettle and down with the pan Give us our answer and let us be gone."
