- Long ago the people made clothes from "frieze." This is how the clothes were made. First the wool was sheared from the sheep. After this it was washed, and dried. Next it was dyed black, blue and white, and the black, blue, and white wool was mixed up together. Then it was spread out on sheets to dry. When it was dry it was carded, and spun with a woollen wheel into large balls. Then it was sent to be weaved to the weavers. It was sent back in the form of "fries." The people made clothes out of this. The clothes that were made are suits, and over-coats. The girls wore shawls made from it, and sometimes they wore coats made from it also.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
