   Oat meal bread was made on an iron gridle on the open fire. Oat meal porridgde made with water and salt was and is still used night and morning.
   Vessels made of wood; noggin were used for porridge and dor drinking out of. They were shaped like this {picture}
   Larger vessels made in the same fashion were used for milking in and for holding milk
