Boat-making. Mr Foley was a great boat maker.
Candle sticks. A block of wood 3" deep and a base 12" x 12" was used as a candlestick and placed on the ground. The post was 3' high and 2" in diameter, was secured in the block. The top was made of iron in the shape of a horse shoe and screwed like a clamp fitting either a rush, tallow or pinewood candle.
