- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)Nov. 10th 1914 was the date of Great Storm from North East. The day happened to be a pig-fair day in Bantry and at Kealanine many horses were knocked and the carts capsized on the road. Hay-barns and sheds were blown away everywhere - in one case an iron shed was blown nearly a mile to the top of a hill. Many trees were felled and some were twisted and broken while a portion of Meany[?] wood was levelled flat by the gale.
A violent thunderstorm took place
Lightning tore a part of a road and a fence near Drimoleague.- Bailitheoir
