    Dock Leaf
    If you get a sting from a nettle the juice of the stem of the dock-leaf will cure it.

    Duglis
    Is used as a poultice for a whittlow. It is boiled and mixed and put on a cloth. The cloth is placed against the whittlow and in a few hours it will burst.

    Wild fire
    Is a dangerous weed. If you touch it with your hand rash will appear.

    Bráisceach
    This weed grows very thickly in oats. It is a very bad weed because it chokes the oats when coming up.

    Chick weed
    It is a good cure for a swelling. It is warmed to the fire and put against the swelling with a cloth

    Rib grass
    Will cure a cut by grinding it with your teeth and putting it against the cut.

    Furze
    spreads very rapidly and is supposed to grow only in good land.
