    White = This man owned the townland of Douce
    Lord Kenmare = This man owned the townland of Coomlea
    Gillman = This man lived in Clonakilty and owned the townland of Coosane.
    It is over 100 years approx since they ruled. The people hated them - though Lord Kenmare was considered a "good man." It is said that he used to build a house for any of his own evicted tenants.
    People were evicted in neighbouring townlands.

    No. 1. A man named Leary, his wife and two children lived in the townland of Comar (4 miles east of Village of Kealkil, Bantry)
    O'Leary was unable to pay his rent and was evicted with his two children Jer and Maggie. A man named Billy O'Rourke (His son over 70 now owns the place) then "grabbed" the farm. The other farmers in Comar through sympathy built a thatched house for O'Leary. Some time after the eviction a man named Meaney ( His son only son still lives) beat "Billy O'Rourke the Grabber."
