- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)in this coast. But mallard and other wild duck are very plentiful there in the winter. The shelldrake's nest is usually placed at the edge of a rabbit hole by the sea shore. The nest is made of rushes and six pale green eggs are laid. Swans sometimes visits this coast. Some of them are very tame and will sometimes eat bread that you give them. There is an old woman living in Greenmount Quay and when-ever she sees a swan in the quay she frightens them away. She says that the people of Greenmount would have bad luck if the swan was allowed to stay there. Great flocks of plover visits this district in winter and wood cock are plentiful of the district.
