Michael Kiely tried also to make his escape but he fell in a field outside the door.
Their bodies were taken to Cork to be burned in lime, but some relatives brought them back again and buried the three in one grave in Lyre graveyard.
A procession took place where they were shot on an Easter Sunday about three years ago and the rosary was answered by a large number of people from far and near.
A Cross is about to be erected to commemorate the event.
