  1. The people long ago had different prayers to the people at the present day.
    They were far holier than the people at the present day.
    Any spare time the old people used have, it was on prayer they spent it. They had certain times of the day for praying.
    The prayer they used say in the morning was called a short morning prayer.
    This was the prayer
    I
    O my God I believe that thou are here present.
    I adore Thee, I love Thee with my whole heart.
    I thank thee for all Thy favours Thou hast bestowed upon me.
    I offer Thee all my thought, words, and works of this day.
    In union with that most pure intention which Jesus and Mary and all the Saints had in life.

    After dinner they used say one Our Father and three Hail Mary's in honour of the purity of the Blessed Virgin,
