(ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)That was all right until we came to Gallahues height there in the Boro Road and we saw a terribly bright light coming up through the fields from Gerald Lane's, Ballybrien, and going along in the direction of Massy Lodge. It appeared to stop at the hall door for a while and then strange to relate it went right through the house and off in the direction of Paradise Hill.
I'll never forget those things. Some nights you'd be out you'd see terrible things and other nights you'd see nothing at all. In the beginning they'd frighten you but after a while you'd get used to them and you would not mind them all. But often you'd wonder to yourself about them. People used to see things in my young days that aren't to be seen at all now.
