When the people arose in the morning on St Brigids day the first of February they found to their delight a beautiful fresh well of water. A woman was supposed to be cured there of sore eyes. She was just blind when she got her sight. The well was closed about ten years after as the people interfered with it and it went dry. It is now closed up.Kathleen McKenna
