    huntsman came up they saw the blood on the window.
    Opening the hut they found an old woman insitting at the fire. They asked if she had seen the cat but she said, "No". Lifting up her foot, they saw that it was cut. They then set the hounds on her, and they killed her.

  2. Once upon a time a man had a beautiful daughter, and she was stolen away by the fairies and a witch put in her place.
    This witch got sick and nobody could cure her. There was a priest in the house who said that she must be a witch. He brought in two pieces of burning coal and put it at each side of her, and ordered her to get away quickly.
    At once the witch jumped out of the bed
