- St. Patrick is the only Saint who is supposed to have visited this district.
There is an old grave - yard near here an in it are the ruins of an old church called Kilpatrick. It is not known for certain whether it was built by St. Patrick or not but it is generally supposed it was because the ruins are very old.
There are plenty of shamrocks growing in the graveyard and the old people say that wherever St. Patrick walked a shamrock grew in his footprints. There are a good many children named Patrick round here but it is also a very common name all over Ireland.- Collector
