The robin builds its nest in a hedge. It lays five white eggs with brown spots on them. It is said that the robin got its red breast when Our Lord was dying on the cross. The robin alighted on His head and some of the blood got on its breast and so the robin has a red breast. - The birds most common in this district are, Blackbird, Thrush, robin, wren, Bul finch, Gold finch, Grey and green linnet, Stone chatter, Yellow hammer, Wag tail, Crow, Wood quest, pigeon, Water hen, swallow, cuckoo, and Seagulls.
These birds live in this district all year round. Each bird builds its own nest.
