Long ago old people used to put a berry in a dish before milking the cows. If they did not do this the witches would work their magic on the cows and would take their milk from them. - The farm I live nearest to is Halligans farm. There are six milking cows on this farm. The names of the cows are, "Rags", "The Old Hag" "Skin-a-ma-link", "Polly", "Molly" and "Sally". When driving the cows the farmer says "how", "how".
There are five calves on this farm which also have got names, "Brownie" "Spotty", "Blackie", "Flossie" and Curly when driving or calling the farmer says "suck", "suck", "suck"(continues on next page)- Collector
