    Long ago the people sat around the table on blocks of wood.
    The bread made long ago was oaten meal bread. It was baked on a griddle. Long ago meat was eaten on Sundays only. The vegetable used was cabbage. Tea was first used about sixty years ago. The people could only by an ounce at a time.

  2. Long ago food was very scarce and people lived on three meals a day. These meals were a breakfast, a dinner and a tea. The breakfast was eaten when the men came from work in the morning.
