    Easter Monday is a holiday for everyone. Every man, woman and child in this district looks forward to the races which are held in Fairyhouse.
    Though there are plenty of ways to get to the races many people prefer to go in the traditional way - walking through the fields, as it is the safest and pleasantest way to go in fine weather.
    No one living now knows when the races started but the oldest people say they were in existence when they were children.
    A couple of weeks before the races people talk about what is going to win the Grand National and everyone you meet asks you what is going to win the national and of course everyone has different winners.
