The land around Curraghtown is good and there are a few hills in it.
There is a river in Curraghtown It is called the Dividing River. It is said that it got its name because it divides the townland of Curraghtown from the townland of Churchtown.
There is a wood in Curraghtown. It is called the Little Round Wood It is a very round wood and all the trees in it are beech. The wood consists of about a half an acre A very funny thing about this wood is that a bird has never been known to build in it - I live in the Parish of Ardbraccan. This Parish is called after St Breccan. The most common name is Brady. Most of the houses were thatched. The new houses are tiled. Ardbraccan was famous long ago. It is said the Danes came to Ardbraccan. The only thing famous about Ardbraccan now is the white Quarry(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
