- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)Kilbeg means the little church. It also gave its name to the parish and to the local catholic church.
- Long ago there were many wells in Ireland which were noted for cures and many local wells got their names from people who got curres from the waters of the wells.
There is a well in Gravelstown in a field owned by John Hand which is called the "Holy Well" and many people were stopped vomitting by drinking sups of water three times out of the well. This well is situated in a field called the "Crochan Bán" which means the white hill and people who wanted a cure would have to leave a remembrance behind them, and, if they would not leave something behind them a cure wouldn't be performed.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
