  1. There was a hedge school in Moyleroe in olden times. It was an old shed and it was known as Master Whites school as master White taught in it. He was an Irishman and he taught Irish as well as English. He was paid by the children. They used to bring him a penny a day. The name of the man that owns the field is Robert Smyth. He used to live in the school. The subjects taught were Reading, Writing and Arithmetic.
