- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)He asked her to send for a priest. The sister sent a boy to a cave in which two priests were hiding, an old man and a young man.The old man wanted to go but the young man would not let him, he said he would go himself. When he reached the house he entered the room where the man was pretending to be very bad. But when the priest went over to the bedside the man leaped out and stabbed him with a sword. He then cut off his head and brought it away to receive five pounds. There is the rains of an old church in Kenny graveyard and it is said that mass was celebrated there now and again during the Penal Days. The priest who usually said mass there was a Fr. Keenan and he used to go from Kenny to Carrick by means of an underground passage
