- I live in the townland of Creevy, the parish of Abbeylara and the Barony of Granard.
There are eighteen families and about seventy nine people in it..
Reilly is the most common family name in it.Slated houses are the most common type in it. Creevy means wooded because of a plantation in the townland.
There are two old people over seventy in it and their names and addresses are as follows,
Rev. T. Smith, Creevy, Granard, Co. Longford and Mrs Mary A Mac Donagh, Creevy, Granard Co Longford.
The houses are not near as numerous as in former times and there are a few old ruins. A good many people emigrated to America and a few to England from this townland.
Part of the land is boggy and the rest of it is hilly and good.- Collector
