Most of the men who lost their lives fighting in ninety are buried there. In this graveyard unknown soldiers were buried in the ditches. Colonel Barboten is also buried there.
Selskar Abbey Grave-yard is the most interesting one as it dates back to the time of Dermot Mac Murrough. It is said that his daughter Eva-who married Strongbow is buried in a stone coffin there. Faces of nuns are to be seen on the wall. It is said that nuns fell through a window in the wall. Near the window there is also a tooth stuck in the wall and people say that it is one of the nun's teeth.
The ruins of Saint Patrick's church are the best preserved ones. There are two eyelet belfries and some beautiful arches. Just inside of the graveyard gate the north Cork Militia lie buried.
