  1. In Ravenswood , Altbaugh, a long time ago a landlord Mr Saunderson by name had his residence. He married an English lady, who thought this country too dull for her and wished him to go over to reside in England. He compiled with her wish, and rented his house in Ravenswood to the parish priest.
Some years later Mr Saunderson died, and his agents in this country ordered the priest from the house, as they intended selling it. The neighbours thought that there was too many valuable articles in the house to let them go to the Protestants, so they went by night and carried some of the things which they buried in the wood.
Among the stolen articles there were some beautiful windowsills, and a black marble mantle-piece. Most of them were dug up again but the mantle-piece lies yet hidden.
